Preparation

While packing to visit an era gone by, you may want to bring:
  • Passport book or card (Nota Bene: If you intend to fly in directly to Canada, you will need a Passport book, not just a card.  Here's the official word from the U.S. passport office "The passport card was designed for the specific needs of northern and southern U.S. border communities with residents that cross the border frequently by land. The passport book is the only document approved for international travel by air.")
  • Walking shoes
  • Tea attire
  • An umbrella (or parasol), dark glasses, etc.
  • Tea hat
For those flying into Seattle, be sure to factor in Washington-Victoria ferry times.

If you don't have the fetching tea hat you've always desired, you may want to consider joining our 3-session weekly Tea Hat Tutorial conducted at Pamela's Tea Room in Garden Grove prior to our event in Victoria. Here you will have the opportunity to get to know your tea-sipping compatriots via one hour videochats, during which we will create our own chapeaux for wear at our event.

Thursdays, March 24 - April 7, 2016 at 3pm

Cost is $67.75 and is refundable up until 10 days prior to first class. During the series you will enjoy the following:
  • Marvelous Millinery - together we will create a simple eye-catching tea hat that can be worn on a variety of occasions. BYO hat base; we'll provide the decorations and flair
  • Chapeau Chat - while working on our hats we'll have time to chitchat a little about the role of hats with afternoon tea
